Objective:
Complete opponent analysis - with video to support the analysis. Complete self-analysis with video of great plays and plays that need improvement. Printed tendency charts and practice scripts. Statistics compiled and printed. Practice cards with formations and defensive alignments drawn and printed.

Problem:

Breaking down film and creating cut-ups or "film studies" requires a significant amount of time every weekend. Even one very dedicated coach working ten to fifteen hours probably can't do it right. Part of the answer may very well be to have several coaches working on several computers looking at the same game film or each taking one whole game of their own. In any case, this causes the additional problem of "data integration." If we could use software on multiple computers, how do we combine the data EASILY?

How do we share the work? How do we involve as many coaches in the "grunt" work of game film breakdown as possible? How do we distribute the data to all coaches in a manner that allows everyone to do their own analysis work when necessary?

Solution:

Coach's Video Assistant. Use Coach's Video Assistant and one or more portable USB2 or Firewire Drives to move game film and data around and among your coaching staff. Seamless integration for one very low price.

This is how it is done:

Bring in your digital game film on a Macintosh using iMovie. (Free from Apple.)

Attach a portable drive. Use Coach's Video Assistant's Game Film Utilities and export your game film and data library to the portable drive. Repeat for every game film that needs analysis. We can usually put four games on a 40 GB portable drive.

Plug the portable drive into any PC or Macintosh computer. Launch Coach's Video Assistant and complete any necessary data input. Each coach does a part of each game or the parts of many games.

Return and attach the portable drive or drives to your video editing station. Data is automatically "merged". Totally seamless.
